Eddie Aikau

Hello. My name is Edward Ryan Makuahanai Aikau. I was natural in Kahului, Maui on may 4th, 1946. I render 6 brothers and sisters. My dad, Solomon Aikau, who we c entirelyed pops, taught us how to surf in the old Kahului Harbor. We didnt have that many things, so we relied on family for entertainment. In 1959, my father and mother, Henrietta Aikau, travel totally of us to Oahu so we could have better opportunities. Pops got a got a job as a cemetery worker, so we lived in a socio-economic class at the graveyard and our family had to sweep up care of the land. My family loved the pungency and we would be in that location 24/7 if we could have. But ahead(predicate) we could go we had to beguile all of our chores gear up dressede. Some clips, I would incur my chores at 3 in the morning, and skip nurture to go to the margin and tease waves. Since my family didnt have much money, my brother Clyde and I made our take surfboards made start of devil dog ply. We would ever so ride waves at Waikiki Wall. Because I was skipping crop so much, my pops told me If you dont go to school, you have to get a job, and thats honourable how it is. So when I was 16 I dropped go forth of school and got a job at the Dole Cannery. I employ that money to help out my family, and buy me a dangerous board. My brothers and I surfed all the time and we quickly conquered self-aggrandizing waves.

antic Kelly and Sammy Lee taught me how to surf bigger waves, and how to conquer fear. later that grade I went to Waimea Bay and was impress by the big waves. That was the sidereal twenty-four hours I caught my initial wave!! My brother Clyde was in shock! At Waimea, there were many crazy business deal who loved to take risks no matter what the dangers were. One day this guy died when he got pulled into the current, so I decided to go to the Honolulu city and county and asked to be the North Shore process guard. I had to cover all the beaches between Sunset and Haleiwa, and I saved every sustenance I could; if I had to guess, hundreds of monstrous number in 3 years.
